The
Lion's Park
on Burnett Street |

The Lion's Park overlooking the Coast to the east has long been a popular spot to take in the views and have a bit of lunch while escaping the hussle and bussle of the town centre.
Lion's Park was redesigned and finished early in 2008. The Playground area, Barbeque area and toilet block are all brand new and modern.
|

This lovely park has long been a favourite respite
for the traveller and local.
|

This was especially so when the Bruce Highway ran right through
Tanawha, making Buderim the perfect spot to stop for morning
tea when driving north.
|
Sponsored by the Buderim Lions Club, the park boasts excellent
swings for the young at heart, picnic tables and a barbeque
area.
All of this and a spectacular southeast and easterly
view of the ocean, Caloundra and across to the hinterland.
|

A large Ficus stands at one end of the park, the ancient roots
supporting the massive trunk illustrate the heritage & character
of Buderim.
When you visit, take a look at how the old fence
chain has been consumed by its growth!
