The Lion's Park
on Burnett Street

This lovely park has long been a favourite respite for the traveller.

This was especially so when the Bruce Highway ran right through Tanawha, making Buderim the perfect spot to stop for morning tea when driving north.

Sponsored by the Buderim Lions Club, the park boasts excellent swings for the young at heart, picnic tables and a barbeque area.

All of this and a spectacular southeast and easterly view of the ocean, Caloundra and across to the hinterland.

A large Ficus stands at one end of the park, the ancient roots supporting the massive trunk illustrate the heritage & character of Buderim.

When you visit, take a look at how the old fence chain has been consumed by its growth!
