Community Safety is about working together to improve public spaces, so residents and visitors to Buderim can feel safe when they go about their daily lives.
Buderim residents can continue to enjoy this sense of safety thanks to a collaborative approach between local council, police and community.
Community and business members of Buderim have been meeting regularly to discuss community safety in Buderim.
Buderim Safe recognises that Buderim is a safe place to live and conduct business however a local based action plan is warranted to ensure this is always the case.
Representation on the committee includes Buderim Chamber of Commerce, Local Council, Buderim Tavern, Youth representation, Buderim Mountain Primary School, Church representation, Buderim Marketplace Centre Management, Buderim War Memorial Community Association, Liquor licensing, Media, Sunshine Coast University, Neighbourhood Watch, Queensland Transport, and Local police.
Several initiatives are underway thanks to the Buderim Safe Organisation.
