Were you on Buderim on ANZAC Day 2008? Check out the photo album!
To honour the memory of the men and women who died in the service of our country and have helped to ensure freedom in our society lives on.
In Buderim a Parade is held to honour our comrades in arms and is watched by patriotic Australians, who line the footpaths. |
The Parade begins at the top of Burnett Street near Townsend Street and walks to the ANZAC Memorial Gates at the Buderim Mountain School Oval.
Local schools are represented with students, many of them wearing their granddad's medals march proudly with banners held high.

The "Buderim Airforce" makes a dramatic flyover to cast every eye skyward |
In the shade of the magnificent pine forest in the Buderim Mountain Primary School, a moving public service is held.
Attended by hundreds of our locals and dignitaries, the service keeps alive the memory of our service men and women.
Beneath the giant Pines, the haunting sound of a bugle playing "The Last Post" brings goose bumps to every soul present.
After the service, everyone retires to the canteen area in the school for a special "Morning Tea" held by the Friends of Buderim, a special group of volunteers from the BWMCA
